Mad Men.

I do believe that was actually a scene from The Man from U.N.C.L.E and David McCallum's character was Illya Kuryakin.

Cracking episode.

Don's old secretary is just hilarious...hope they keep her for a while.

Mad Men is the best new programme on TV

well done BBC4 and BBC2 for showing

the final episode of the first season is on bbc4 this sunday at 10pm

I think she was warning him that there'll be no repeat of the last time we saw him become frustrated and angry. We've seen so little of Joan and her husband, who can say what the dynamic is.

I think Lane is my favourite character in the show, he is clearly the one keeping the whole agency going at the moment, something which Pete seems to be starting to recognise. Interesting in tonight's episode how the young, earnest Don keen to impress Roget compared with him being shown in a really unsympathetic and unpleasant way in the present.

How good was Mad Men tonight? Don almost got a conscience to stop that young guy wasting money on his silly game, Sal demostrating to his wife how the Ann-Margaret style ad would go and Betty's father passing. A great episode.

Why do people who may soon die smell oranges?

Yep, I'd love him to swagger into the office one day in bell bottoms, toking on a spliff and calling everyone 'maaaaan' :D

Midge :) . Never understood how they got together in the first place ~ worlRAB apart.

I'm not sure about Rachel ~ did they ever 'get it on' or was it unconsummated?

A couple more for the list:

Bobby

That rich 'free spirit' girl when he went awol on his business trip with Pete

Absolutely. A bullying control freak who forces others to submit to his will because he hates the fact that he lives a lie himself. I hate him for what he did to Sal (who was my absolute favourite character)

That Glen thing: my take on it is that he is using Sally to hurt Betty, as he is angry at Betty for 'doing it' (his worRAB) with another man. Nice touch for Sally to not have a clue what 'doing it' meant :)

He was in love with Betty. Remember when he ran away from home and stayed in the Wendy house in the garden. Betty took him inside and they spent a few hours eating and drinking pop together. When Glen took hold of Betty's hand she freaked and phoned his Mum to come and get him. He told her then he hated her(Betty). Looks like he hasn't forgotten or forgiven how badly she treated him.

I honestly think we were about 20 years behind the USA in the 1960's / 70's in terms of style here in the UK. Even the 1930's Laurel and Hardy HouseholRAB were well furnished!!

I'm absolutely hooked on every episode - and there seems to be little nuances that I don't pick up on first time round.
I hope this runs on to the 70's - would be fascinating to see the social changes reflected through Mad Men.
