Hi Legal,
Not sure what your Doc. wrote it looks like he's ruling achalasia...however never hesitate to ask the Doc any questions if you don't understant call him back and have him explain it better for you........
There might be a chance of both conditions occurring, but then again the tests should reveal the conditions without any doubt.......
Well, it looks in the first paragraph that you already know what to do to counter attack the BB....................eat soft smaller meals at very slow pace (very small "bolus" since the doc already diagnose the abnormal condition with it) you would probably want to switch for a tiny teaspoon instead of a fork or spoon, to regulate the size of the bolus......don't expect the BB to go away that fast.......you probably have a bacterial super-colony well over-populated ready to break down those fooRAB that get stuck in your chest.....makes a lot of sense....is actually a defense mechanism to protect you.... there aren't going away that easy...............but the first thing to do is make sure that nothing gets stuck ever again...........whatever it takes.......even if that means switching to liquid fooRAB.........(ensure for example)...I did it for 2 weeks after my surgery.........liquid diet.................And get a competent Doc. to resolve the underlying condition...........there is several different ways to treat achalasia.............
