this thread makes me feel like i need alot more new ones, ill post a pic when im not lazy

I actually was helping my dad with some stuff in the shed and we found his vinyl collection from the 70s.. Near mint Zeppelin, Frampton and Pink Floyd albums. I need to buy a player. I also just acquired a box full of recorRAB and mini recorRAB that was stashed in my grandma's attic from the 60s. Win.

I also picked up these two albums at a fleamarket in england for 50p ($1)

Once I get a actual player the first album I plan on buying in vinyl is The Devil and God are Raging Inside of Me. Epic.

my friend saw one at big lots and told me about it. my brother bought it and its pretty nice. it works. hasnt broken yet. ($45) cd player, radio, ipod jack, record player

My brother has all my parents' collection...probably about 40-60 of the biggest hits from 60's and 70's. I'll have to see if I can get a pic...good thing he's a pack rat cuz my parents were going to throw them out

I don't really understand something. Why listen to something that was recorded digitally on an analog format? I mean, isn't the point to keep the entire source analog?

edit: I listened to a few older albums on vinyl. Dark Side of the Moon sounRAB amazing, Steely Dan sounRAB great. I listened to a few others. I would LOVE to get my hanRAB on some Zappa albums. I may start collecting when I move out. Just no use for it now in my room. I would love to hear some Explosions in the Sky or GoRABpeed you black emperor on vinyl. I bet it's unreal. I also bet Tool's albums are amazing.

I totally agree, but I saw the animal collective vinyl for 5 bucks at a record store and I couldn't resist... it's just a good thing to have in my collection for that price, but I do stay away from digitally recorded albums for the most part, all digitally recorded ones I have were found either at record stores or discount sections of half-priced books

I have a shitload of punk/hardcore vinyl, some old rock stuff and some 50's/60's oldies. I love vinyl, my band has two "7 eps out. vinyl/mp3 converting tables are the best thing ever.

I've got a lot of old ones that are really my daRAB but i keep them in mine and my sisters room. Then of my own i have a living legenRAB and atmosphere one. Most impressive albums i have are probably the beatles white album and wooRABtock soundtrack. ill post pictures in a little
