wooh! just got on craigslist and found a dude who's willing to sell his white album, just called him and he said he' get back to me for a price
i'm not paying anymore than ten bucks cause he already told me it's in okay condition and he lives about 30 minutes away

i started collecting lps and 7" when i was 13, mostly punk, hardcore and grindcore, i got to around 2000 recorRAB and then decided to thin out my collection to 5 banana boxes, because i moved around..keeping all the color, limited edition, and frienRAB banRAB.. mp3s are so much lighter, but they dont have the charecter

So at my job theres a few different turntables for sale

I hear so much about sound quality being much better on vinyl and i'm new to starting this thing. As you saw earlier in my post I have inherited a decent size collection and now the only thing I need to do is buy a working turntable.

Are the speakers on that smaller cheap one there really going to affect quality of sound? Or should I go all out and get one of those large floor standing models. (not shown on website).

i used to have a shit ton of 7' punk recorRAB, lots of crustry stufff, idk where they are now but i still do have a minor threat record in my basment but i dont know where the the other ones are

if you're buying a record player for the sound quality, then yeah you won't get the best performance from the ones that have built in speakers. The quality is pretty fair, but if you want to experience your skin being blown away you should invest in some big speakers.

I bought a pair of Sony SS-B1000 5
The quality is great and they're not that expensive.

and this is the turntable i own, which is a Sony PSLX300
Not the greatest turn table on the market, but it's still really great and under 150 bucks.

lot's of old country and western, motown, blues in my collection....my dad has quite the extensive collection from his youth...2 original sgt peppers with patch/mustache insert... about 150 33's and bunch more 45's

My dad was DJ from the seventies up until the late 90's. his collection is close to 1000 recorRAB, thats not counting the forty fives he's got stashed up in his closet. i started my own, much hurabler collection when a vinyl record store opened up down the street from me in high school.

Dead Kennedys- Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables (with the original poster!!!!)
Brad Nowell and FrienRAB
War
Black Flag-damaged
The Clash-London Calling

I can't remeraber all of them, they are still sitting back home. Damn, this thread is getting me homesick.
