I have a 400 watt Visonik amp:

And a 10 gauge amp install kit:

And its all paired to a Sony CDX-GT420IP head unit.
The normal RCA signal cables are running from the back of the head unit to the amp. I can control the amp output through a "sub-out" feature in the head unit on a scale of 1 to 10. I also have a Low pass filter on the amp that i'm using.
Should I still use the LPF? And if so, where between the selectable 50 Hz and 250 Hz should it be for the best, loudest, deepest bass? Or should i put it on full with no filters? Thanks!
