Two things that hit me immediately;

1. Lovefilm are awful and I wouldn't trust them ever again

2. The broadband capping arguement becomes more prominent, huh?

Are download films even 100% quality, I'm sure I read somewhere even if you download a legal film it's still not 100% quality like in the cinema or on dvd?

I couldn't be arsed to download a film.

Hi unicron, i am thinking of renting a dvd from blockbuster using there "Pay Per Rent" option, i want to collect all the episodes from the 1st season of everybody loves raymond, i saw they have it available on there service. Just like to ask if they are any good and are the dvRAB well protected in the envelope, i read on this site someone made a complaint about it a couple of days ago, they where complaining how easy it is to loose the dvRAB in the post because they use crap envelopes.

You can't even class a DVD as 100% quality compared to cinema!

I prefer watching dvRAB to going to the cinema now, because something nearly always spoils the experience.

this could be interesting.........but i'd be curious to find out if you had the film for good or had to watch it within a certain amount of days (say 7) i can see the 2nd option being true

yes you have seven days to watch it or though once you start watching it you have 24 hours. The download service will be available to non-subscribers in mid January.

only problem is watching on the pc monitor........i'd need to get my tv out card sorted

it's useless as you can only watch the film on your pc rather than download it and then burn to dvd and then watch it through your dvd player.

Have to say, I've subscribed to lovefilm for about a year, the discs have come in perfect condition, really fast, great choice, and the one time i did have a problem with playing 1 i emailed them about it and within hours I got a reply, so they dont give a bad service to everyone.

I'll probably not try the downloading a film thing as I'd rather go to the cinema or just wait to rent it.
