LOVEFiLM to start movie download service next week.

Neither can i, the download quality are not 100% plus you have to wait like 2 hours for the film to download. Then there is taking up all the space on your hard-drive, totaly not worth it. Just rent them, i would. I joined lovefilm 2 month trial, i cant believe some people hate them, ahhh now i am getting worried.
 
I've been with Lovefilm, they are rubbish. Good at first but once you start paying, the service just disappears. :confused:

Just joined Blockbuster, been with them a month, so far I'm impressed, although they have sent me the wrong disk in the last batch they sent me.

This downloading thing - is it going to just give you an AVI file of the film? Isn't that just the same as copying a DVD?
 
Not really. You will have the permission of the copyright holder to download it and watch it as per the terms and conditions.

The movies will likley be DRM encumbered, which will give you limited viewing and storage rights, once purchased, and its safley nestled in the bosom of your hard-drive

As for the exact format the movie will take on the download service, the level of quality ect , that has yet to be made clear.
