LoveFilm are getting on my t*ts

No not improving, at least not for me!

3 discs received back by them yesterday. None sent yesterday and only one today.

Can anyone advise what is the point of having a 4 at a time package when you seldom ever have more than one at home at a time?
For example right now i have one on its way back to them, one on its way to me and the other two are with LF.
Why pay

I, for one email them every time they take the pis$ with their delivery times. They continue to blame royal mail, they recieve an email from me every week and they will continue to do so.

4 days for them to receive my last returns, not likely.

They may have generated thousanRAB of new customers but all their old ones will undoubtley leave them. They have achieved nothing by providing such a lacklustre service.

How many 3 for 1 month users are going to renew their subscription?

Tescos is powered by Screenselect. From my past experience they do throttle near the end of a subscription but they are much better than LF.

Here's how it works...

You order 5000 blank DVRAB from somewhere (plus or minus, doesn't matter.)

Then, you get a pair or jeans and a T Shirt and glue blank DVRAB all over the front of them.

Put these new clothes on, and stick 4 more blank DVRAB to your head - one over each eye and one over each ear.

Take the rest of the blank dvRAB and cover the front and back of your house with them.

If you've got any DVRAB left, cover your car with them, although be careful not to go out during night of perioRAB of bright sunlight or night, as you may blind other drivers.

After your mammoth DVD sticking session, go out in public and talk to as many people as you can, invite them round to your house, make eye contact with them on trains and in lifts etc..Do this for a week or so.

How will this help you watch DVRAB quickly you ask....well, after doing all this , people will avoid you like the plague, leaving you a good 6 hours a day (3 DVd's worth !) for watching TV !

No still same.

I sent a DVD back on monday- the site had it down as returned the same evening. Im still waiting for a replacement for that DVD. Im on the 3 at a time membership- I have none to watch at the moment!!

First post, so hello all. Been following this thread with interest since it first appeared. Am a member of Lovefilm (well, suspended actually} as 3 dvd's went missing in one go. Love film posted the 3 to me on 25th April 2005, and I reported them missing on 6th May. Asked LF to get the Post Office to send me the form which I need to fill in when this happens - not done. In fact very little at all appears to have been done and I remain suspended. Despite this, I would like to stay with them as my turnaround of discs has been good. As for their CS though, appalling (in my opinion ) does not seem to do it justice. In fact in all the time since 6th May up to present I have not been able to get any meaningful information out of them regarding if they are going to remove the suspension. Does anyone have any information as to how long it might take LF to either remove it, or say bye bye we don't want you as a customer? Am on the 3 for l deal by the way, and had rented for 18 days in total when the discs went walkabout.

Below is my current status with Screenselect. I have 209 titles in my list. It taking them 3 days to ship at the moment. All my own fault for paying a year up front. IDIOT!!!!!!

You are currently due a dispatch of 2 DVRAB.

We are in the process of dispatching another DVD to you from your selection.

This normally happens within one business day, though in exceptional circumstances can take longer. We will notify you by email when we next send a DVD to you.

We have recently received the following DVRAB from you:

* 'Simpsons, The - Season 4... Disc 3 ' was returned on 03/6/2005, 3 days ago.
* 'Star Trek... Disc 2 ' was returned on 03/6/2005, 3 days ago.

On their next despatch date policy/email. If you have an email that says you are getting a forward despatch date cos you have rented a high number of disks in the last 30 days then that's your basis for complaint. they are trying to limit your service based on your high usage.

by their own admission that they are setting 'next despatch dates' for users who have rented the most disks in the last 30 days. This is proof that they are limiting the service. If you have an original email saying this then you have enough proof to complain to TS as lovefilm have kindly given you proof in writing!

I do not receive the discs at the top of my list and have not done so for the last 2 months. It is more than a fair few who are complaining in this thread. How many rentals do you receive per week I_Love_LOVEFiLM?

I have also had 3 incorrect titles sent to me and the tv series are always in the wrong order which messes up my viewing patterns.

61p per rental means he received roughly 24 rentals in one month. I get nowhere near that many, my figure is closer to

I just rang up Royal Mail to ask why it takes 6 days for them to deliver a DVD in the post at the following post code: CM19 5BR and they said, they were not aware of problems in that area, so if Love Film tell you it's royal mail's fault, don't listen, it's all bull sh!t.

The more people to ring up Royal Mail to ask the same question, will force Royal Mail to investigate why it's taking so long, so please do give customer services a ring on: 08457-740-740. and ask them why it takes six days to send a DVD to CM19 5BR.

It seems that LF make up a lot of their statistics. Funny how when I was a member with them for 5 months I never received one questionaire from them. They probably only send questionnaires to preferred customers, ones they know will rate them well.

Can you just 'leave' lovefilm and try out some other companies?
screenselect definitely worth a go as are amazon but amazon don't have a free trial but are among the cheapest I suppose
hope things improve:)
BEfore Screenselect became the dvdrental mogul it is now; it was "video island" and when they merged and became one and the same, they had an 'off' period where communication could have been better. They have definitely improved since then:D

Well i've had enough, and after 5 days now without them receiving my discs i've decided to cancel. While on the phone I tried to enquire why it is getting so slow and they categorically denied having any backlogs - quite funny how neither royal mail nor lovefilm can explain the problem!
