LoveFilm are getting on my t*ts

This is clearly a Lovefilm problem and not Royal Mail. When I was with Blockbusters they always received next day and dispatched next day one day after I returned.

Also Lovefilm always have delays receiving but we never get delays when we receive. They took on too many customers from other rental sites they took over but forgot to take on extra staff. They need more people than they have working for them.

Their post box must get swamped with thousanRAB of DVRAB every day and the poor idiots working there cannot handle the pressure.

Why offer 3 for 1 month offer if you clearly cannot offer a fast service. All customers will quit after 3 months and they will be back to square one. Also the fact that Blockbusters work on a satruday and lovefilm do not means you're like to get more rentals with blockbuster.

WHOOOOO we`ve had ONE film sent out today, (even tough we have NONE out so they should have sent 3) but it`s not shane richie

it`s #48 on our list.

maybe everybody who is having trouble should put shane as there #1 and we`ll see who get`s it first :p

that happened with us, 2 films sent one week (on the same day) didn`t arrive so we reported them missing, day after we got the replacements, then later that week the missing 2 turned up.

I really don't know why i did this, but i joined back with lovefilm for 3 months free....how could i have been so stupid....i have to remember- free trial with lovefilm equals frustration.

They are without a doubt the most inept company i have ever dealt with.

It's staggering how they still have customers, some watchdog should close these cowboys down.

We were tricked as we were promised an unlimited service which we did not get. How is it an act of cowardice criticising a poor company? I suppose if I defended them it would be considered brave in your view.

Exactly what we all want IS available in the current marketplace, it's just that Lovefilm are not the one's who are providing it even though that is how they advertise themselves.

You may attempt to try and defend them but you certainly need more constructive arguments if you want people to take you seriously.

For someone who has a so-called 'life' and dislikes this thread you sure do spend a lot of time on here.

Hey All,

I just spoke to a friend in the US who is a subscriber to NetFlix (The US equivalent of Love Film) and he informed me of the following:

"You may not know this but Netflix has a "priority" status for people that are light users. I read that on their site.

The logic according to NF is that giving priority to light users evens up the experience to that of heavy users (sic).

So yes , if you are a heavy user (3 movies a week on the 3 plan or more) you fall to second class statue. I'm not sure what that means but my guess is that you get lower priority for hot releases and that your churn time is slowed down. It regrettable that NF cannot extend the quality they gave me in the tryout period to the rest of the time.

Furthermore, the average rental for NF is 5 DVD's per month for the 3 plan. So they make $3.75 per DVD, not bad considering that they have a very low overhead(compared to a video store). If you rent 12 movies a month they only make $ 1.80 -+ per movie that hurts their bottom line, so I'm not surprised to see delay tactic built into heavy user's accounts. too bad.

So this probably explains the delay we are experiencing ????????

In the long run their poor service and attitude will start to affect their profits as more and more of their customers leave them and join competitors.

They will have to keep introducing special promotions of 3 months for the price of 1 to lure us back.

Dont forget Blockbuster can provide a better service as they not only have the stock in their warehouse, they have hundreRAB of stores in the UK, so effectively they not only can have more stock than lovefilm, they can oRABet any losses made from the heavy renters against the profits made from those who physically go into a store and rent a DVD.

Leave global well alone, I have been with them for a month.

I have selected the top 20 DVRAB and have not had one.

The discs I have had are 8/10 times damaged. Plus it's a week turn around to get discs back to you.

IE Send my discs on a Monday, I have my news ones by Firdays/Saturday.

SoapBubbles....

Add a can or two and slip over to the left side of satan and you might get it... Though why copy the whole text for the last 10 worRAB?? SLYSOFT - Look it up

I love forums, they make me laugh! Bring out the 'odd' in people!

Actually, movietrak do this too. You get 20 dvRAB per month, but if you use the 20 before the end of the month, they simply bill you earlier and send the next lot out.

Perfect, IMO.

To ban Orm for that (I run my own message board) was a bit over the top imo.

Wonder if RAB checked his IP address and it pointed to a dvd rental company?

You wanna try ScreenSelect - they've only got a dozen movies! Been with them six months and not had one single new release yet! Was gonna switch to LoveFilm, but think they've all taken on more than they can handle. Probably all pretty much the same.

Jaime Mate,

thanks to Lawyer above, I worked out the e-mail address of the CEO of Love Film and shall be e-mailing him my concerns, I suggest you do the same, I sent you the details via private message.

brinbobo, you're not the only one to have a delay. They received one DVD back from me on Monday and another yesterday and they have yet to send me another.

I emailed them yesterday (after going round in circles for ages trying to find an email address) but have not even had the courtesy of a reply, not even an automated acknowledgement.

I wondered if it was because I took up their invitation to return on a pay for one month, get 2 free offer. Monday coincided exactly with the one month paid being up. They have been quite good for the first month. However, if they provide shoddy service for the rest of the three months, it doesn't exactly encourage me to continue.

As a customer with Lovefilm/Amazon for the past 3 years I have been very happy with excellent service I was getting, the past few weeks have been a nightmare though!, posting discs back on Mon & not being returned til Friday, as a one off I could accept their explanation it was Royal Mails fault, but not for 3 weeks + having other frienRAB that subscribe, they are suffering the same problem... as a test I will send a couple of discs in the same envelope as a friend who is on a free trial (who isnt having a problem with Lovefilm turnaround times) & I'll pay & send a couple back recorded delivery so I know for sure when they did actually receive them, as I have an unlimited package I honestly beleive they are throttling the amount of discs I get

... & to make it worse I cant even cancel, because I had no complaints about their service I took advantage last year of their pay up front & am now paid up for the next 7 years:eek:

I've just used a free code from boots top get 8 Screenselect/Lovefilm rentals for free. Used 'em and cancelled.

I'll take them for every thing. LOL

My parents, in-laws and close frienRAB will all be having 6 free rentals.

Mu-haw-haw-ha
