LoveFilm are getting on my t*ts

As the new CEO of Lovefilm I hope to make the service better for all of you. Fadger have a 1 year subscription totally free of charge, in fact we will pay you for trying out our service for a year.

Everyone who is unhappy with our service don't worry all the 3 at a time packages will be upgraded to 9 at a time and you will all get a guaranteed 18 titles a week under our new terms and conditions. :)

Just because I disagree with you and I'm pleased with the service I'm getting doesn't make me the CEO of Lovefilm.

All I'm doing is having my say and balancing up an argument.

If you honestly believe that I'm the CEO ( or in fact anything to do with the company at all ) you're a fool.
 
I'll cancel before I'm due to pay again trust me.

Seriously, who the eff are you to say whether I have a right to moan about a service I was tricked into signing?
 
Blockbusters because they work on Saturday and give some 2 DVD sets as 1 choice. Bad points about BB are that they are raising their price to
 
Screenselect also have an uncanny knack of sending out DVRAB after the last post. They did this to me on various occasions resulting in a 2-day delay to receive. When I queried them on this they informed me that most DVRAB were dispatched after 17:30.

How helpful of them to hold them for several hours until the post has gone through and then send them out. :confused:
 
Tried to cancel my account this morning. Phoned them up, spent 15 minutes on hold before the foreign call centre answered. The woman then said that their systems were down and they could not process my cancellation and told me to phone back. Funny that, I was logged into their website at the time.

I told her I wasn't prepared to phone the 0870 number again and told her to write down my cancellation request manually. She proceeded to do so though told me I had to send back the DVD I don't even have yet by tommorrow otherwise I would be charged another month's rental. Total con !! I had the suspicion they were going to charge me another month so called up my bank to see what I could do. Had to cancel my bank card to stop them getting next months payment! Bit drastic I know though I hate being treated like a fool by these companies so they won't be getting anymore money from me. Wheras if it had been a Direct Debit I could have cancelled it with no fuss.

The thing that riles me, is the way they make you call the 0870 number to cancel. Every other thing can be done by the website. But when they said their system were down I thought I could smell the rat. Also I've now kind of adopted a "Boycott all companies that oRABhore their customer services" attitude.

Also their T&C's state the only way to cancel is via your account on the website. Not true !! The only way they let you cancel is by phoning them on the 0870 number. It even says that cancellations by letter are not guarenteed.

Avoid this company is my suggestion.
 
This almost certainly confirms that they do not record discs as being back in the order they receive them. They clearly sift their way through what has arrived each day and pick out people who they want to impress the most, ie your friend as a new subscriber and deal with them as priority.

But LF would have us believe that somewhere at the Royal Mails end some DVRAB sit for days until they receive them back (ie long term members discs) but others whizz through in a day.

Not likely LF! :(
 
Well i've just received an email from their Customer Service department...

"We have checked your account details and can confirm that we have received all
the discs back and your account has been cancelled."

so there is no chance that they can try and claim any money back off me! thank god!
