LoveFilm are getting on my t*ts

Orm was a troll, he found a forum where everyone was discussing Lovefilm and decided to attack everyone.

Every problem we listed with LF he found an argument.

Even when I criticised LF for raising prices from

I'm cancelling as soon as this payment month is up.

But why, if you are so upset about people being pissed off at LF, do you spend any time on this forum (or more precicely, on this thread)? I don't really understand that...

Lovefilm were sending me 3 DVD's a week for about the last month regardless of how quickly films were returned. I have just cancelled my membership even though I had over a week left because their blatant throttling was really winding me up

Hey ho here we go again.

Was originally with screenselect who put the breaks on delivery severely. Took a six months break and rejoined now Lovefilm with tempting offer on 3 months for 1. After a couple of good weeks they put the breaks on issuing DVRAB. Also instead of charging for one month the charged for three. After complaing several times and no action I finally received a cheque for

Perhaps you should e-mail him back and challenge him about this throttling policy which was discussed in other posts on this thread. It aint unlimited use if he is throtting your service.

I got an email from LF this morning offering to upgrade me to the 4 disc package free for a month.....

I looked at my rental queue of 40 discs and my currently rented DVRAB which stanRAB at 1 disc (with 2 being returned yesterday morning !!)

why the hell would I want to pay

Success! Lovefilm have finally refunded me for the 3-for-1 fiasco. The email confirming it just happend to arrive on the 28th day of the peroid they told me to wait for, but I'm sure that's a complete coincidence. A cynic would suggest they were hoping I would have given up by now.

Yeah, I hear what you are saying. What I wanted to convey was I know they are a very bad company, and wind their customers up. I can put up with that I must have tried out every free trial going, and before the discs went missing I was happy enough with LF. I was hoping anyone elso who had been suspended could give some feedback, ie was the suspension lifted. or were they kicked off in the end?

Cheers!

I will not get a chance to send any recorded delivery in the next few days but if you do please report back.

Should be interesting!

LF are a business. They're out to make money.

Once a film has been purchased the only cost to LF is the despatch/return process. People who use a lot are a drain on their resources - more despatches/more returns/ more postage. Postage & packing being by far their biggest expense I guess.

As far as LF are concerned the best customer is somebody paying the most and using the least.

Even people on the 1 disk at a time and returning it immeadiately are a drain. LF want you to hold on to the disk for 3 months. That's the way they make more money.

They may have to buy more copies of popular disks or keep customers waiting longer but that's a risk.

Giving priority to low volume users is simply about keeping the customers that they want to keep happy. The rest of us can sod off.

I'm sure "you" would have got those if someone you knew siged up for a trial account with LoveFilm too.

That's the disappointing thing about all this.

Does anyone stop to think that it's the constant moving companies that makes their services such rubbish?
Alot of people have written things like, "result, changed to *insert company* and got my top choices" - it's obvious that will happen. If everyone settled on one and stuck to it then everyone would get their top choices instead of companies only shipping top ones to new people to keep them signed up. Common sense isn't it?

You seem to suffer from hyperbole. This is hardly a website full of people who hate LoveFilm. And what bothers me so much? Your name or LoveFilm?

You may want to take the mic. We're trying to be constructive. Airing our grievances so that people who are suffering far worse - with debt collectors from Love Film chasing them have somewhere to turn and some support.

There's not one person here that doesn't realise, compared to a bricks and mortar place, LoveFilm offer a good price per rental. Of course, I may pay a little more down the road but at least I get the film I want, when I want and don't get fobbed off by plastic customer service.

LoveFilm doesn't however compare well to other on-line services favourably in so much that their CS stinks and they're not delivering what they sold us - an UNLIMITED service.

If you want to be constructive why not tell us what package you're on, and how many rentals you get each month and why you love them?

We're happy to listen.

sounRAB like someones got a bee in their bonnet. You are obviously mad at something, and its probably because of the popularity of the online rental services as opposed to instore.

Blockbuster charge 3.75 for new releases which I personally think is a rip off. There is no local stores anymore - there used to be which charged

Hmmm. All 4 of my DVRAB returned by Tuesday (they found Lemony Snicket on Monday) and I'm not getting a damn thing sent to me for Wednesday.

....I'm cancelling my account next week.

After all my bitching I canceled my Lovefilm sub this morning. This afternoon two tickets to a preview of Hitchickers Guide appeared on my mat courtesy of LF.

Now I feel guilty :o

I cancelled my account with them last week with 2 more weeks left to run. It wasn't worth the hassle of checking my account every day to see if they were giving me anything. And at 2 per week it was getting beyond a joke.

No more second chances with this lame company they can stick their rentals up their a$$.
