"Love Actually" Does anyone actually LIKE this film?

I love it! It's actually one of my favourite films. I think it's beautiful the way it shows several love stories and it shows you how different each persons love story can be.

Loves it!

Yep :D

Look at the production companies Universal Pictures and Working Title (English but owned by and American company)...

Also the writer and director whose name escapes me always writes films that appeal to an american audeince. Even though he's Brisith I'm sure he's moved and now lives in American due to the success he's had over there. He wrote 4 wedding and a Funeral and Bridget Jones I think....:)

I dont believe Richard Curtis does live in America to be honest.
Hes a fanatastic writer and I dont agree he writes films that only appeal to the american audience- I think they appeal to every audience because of the fantastic script and the loveable characters- plus a great cast of course ;) :)

Just watched the full film again there on ITV2 - they definitely edited a lot out!:mad

Most of the Martin Freeman stuff was missing - only the bit when the girl tells him all she wants for Christmas is him, and the airport made it; some of the Kris Marshall story seems to have vanished too!

Great film but I'm disappointed ITV2 chose to cut so much out - makes me wonder what else they cut that I don't remember!

I have watched it every Christmas since it was released. Great romcom for the run up to the Festive season. Wouldnt watch it any other time of year though, just during the run up to Xmas. Having said that if you took each individual story as one film then there would be nothing much to any of them, but all put together it does work quite well.

i love it. love how obscure it is. the storylines all tie together and most of them are quite entertaining. Just a really light hearted romantic comedy.

I saw it when it first came out and all I can say is it was just ok. I don't think it can compare to Four Weddings and Notting Hill though, those films I really enjoyed.

Same happened here on the Monday airing on both the normal channel and +1.

Did they really cut a lot of it then? I was going to purchase the DVD and that has made me want to even more! Why did they cut it? This is one reason I hate watching films on TV, they're usually cut one way or another! :(

There was definitely a fair bit cut out; was very disappointed that they skipped the Martin Freeman strand and some of the Kris Marshall strand - I thought the Krish Marshall chapter was great :D I will probably look into getting the DVD, too!
