Looking for a high quality sound system for cheap. Any suggestions?

i dont know too much about car audio and sound systems, but it seems that most of my friends that have sound systems have a lot of bass (usually too much) from theirs subs and a lot of treble from their tweeters, but they have no mid, so the sound quality sux cuz the bass is just blowing and and the tweeters are just giving me a headache... i need to know what would be a good quality system for a decent price
 
When it comes to electronics especially, you get what you pay for.
Make sure you go to a car audio shop though b/c your speakers will have issues. This way you are under a warranty and get free replacements.
