Locked Out Of Zune?!?!?

ok so my zune was working fine a few weeks ago (its an 8gb) and now it wont power on unless i hook it up to my pc and even then i cant do any thing because it says its locked when its not,i've tried to restart it but it wont restart. i heard theres a restart you can do but it'll erase all my files. any way i can fix this without getting rid of everything?

okay, if you use windows at all, you know it does not work. so why would you expect a Zune to work, or even buy one?? That is the real question.
