I think Creed had a similar problem. No one hates Alter Bridge the way they hated Creed because scotts not their. Now if ALter Bridge could write music like they did in Creed (a la "Ode") we'd be all friggen set.

I think the biggest difference between the two groups is Rage had something to say - and say it they did. Bizkit had nothing to say - and say it they did.

Those banRAB helped define those genres. I don't see RATM as a seminal nu-metal band. Nu-metal wasn't born until KoRn and the gang came along...

John Bush came in on the "Sound of White Noise" album and was very grungy sounding and they also brought in grunge producer Dave Jerden as well, its actually quite a good album and almost as good as their early stuff, its certainly better than the previous two they had done with Joey "State of Euphoria" and "Persistence of Time" Also Dan Spitz left after this album as well. Unfortunately "Sound of White Noise" wasn`t followed up on quality wise, most of the albums since then with John Bush have been very average to say the least.
