I have a 04 Honda Accord EX. A few weeks ago I went to turn on the car and the light behind the radio along with the interior lights near the radio (temp control, volume control, etc) stopped working. The radio works fine, I just cannot see the time nor station.

I brought it to a shop to change the oil & they were supposed to take a look at the electrical issue. Well $100 later they said it was a problem with my radio, that I need to go to Honda & buy a new one. I think I got hosed.

What do I really need to do? My manual says nothing. My gpa & dad who are car gurus know nothing (or refuse to answer b/c it's a honda, haha they're GM guys) HELP it's driving me nuts!

Check your fuses. If they're all ok, then you either have a light bulb burned out inside the dash (replace-able), or a bulb inside your radio burned out (need a new radio).

I never had these problems with any of my GM's. :)
