97% White? I was at the corner store today and two men were standing outside talking, one leaning up against his Benz while the other leaned against his 7 series Beemer. The guy next to the Beemer laughed and said: "I even have a white landscaper." The guy with the Benz replied: "Well, I don't blame you, you see how the blacks and hispanics detroy their own neighborhoods."

Do you see this conversation as rational or racist? With the exception of the Cubans, isn't the guy with the Benz statistically correct?

Its racist because it plays into stereotypes, and its the inability to see past a stereotype that is a negative representation of a minority that makes one racist.

They can live where they want, earn what they do, and be any color, but if they buy into the idea that all ( fill in the blanks) are all (fill in the blanks with a negative evaluation) then they are racists.

Racism requires a hatred or disdain for an entire race of people. Making a comment about the way a specific race destroys their own neighborhood, while ignorant, is not racist. People these days have confused racism with ignorance and stupidity. It isn’t racist to say something bad about a black person, or to make a joke about a stereotype in a specific ethnic community. We have become this nation of people who seem to seek out opportunities to become offended just so we can cry about how offended we are. It is so pathetic.
