Late Show with David Letterman (Part 2)

I think it'd be better and funnier if they keep the bleeps whenever the "F**** YOU!" guy shows up.

i dont see why people are getting so mad about it and saying "i might have to watch conan now" LOL

how does this affect your need for humour and US chat show or great interviews?

so what the man slept around and may have cheated on his wife?

the worst part is that someone was blackmailing him! anyone these days would do anything for money, if its accuse michael jackson of child molesting, claiming they were raped (jordan) or extorting money of a colleague they have information about

I don't know if this is common knowledge, but I'm pretty sure that Paul was the first person top say "f**k" on USTV (accidentally, during SNL).
He also wrote "it's raining men" by the Weather Girls*
*this was played on the radio t'other night, i was driving along singing it, my passenger thought i was having a mental collapse!
Any coverage of Dave in todays tabloiRAB anyone??

Yeah, the Easter bank holiday and the two days for basketball. I would have thought Dave would have just taken the whole week off to have Easter holiday, but I guess not.

On an unrelated note - just watching Look Who's Talking Too and didn't realise Paul Shaffer had a cameo in it (he's a taxi passenger). He had hair too. ;)

eek!, I THINK the BIG Show played a Garry Glitter song in the background of the baseball "bit" during Friday 13th Novembers* Show:eek:

*Thats how far behind I am currently!

There is a very strong rumour that Fox is making Conan an offer. If true I wonder if Conan will make the jump. I read on a forum of people who know his Conan's wife say he does not like living in LA and is really an east coast guy and would prefer his kiRAB grow up in the east coast, NY or Connecticut rather than LA. But if he went to Fox I think that would be in LA unless they base it out of NY. You never know what the next move is.

I had a bad feeling when they put Leno on at 10:00 p.m. Jimmy Kimmel who is the late night host on ABC (and hysterical by the way - his comedy is more similar to Dave than Leno - too bad you don't get him in the UK) ratings also went up when the change happened. Kimmel was interviewed and he said that Conan brings in the 18-30male audience and they are not The Tonight Show type of demographic. The older viewers went over to Dave and the younger viewers to Kimmel. Jimmy Fallon is completely forgettable. Get him off, he has to be losing money for the network.

Wow, I haven't posted on here in quite a while!

Anyhow, as always I'm very behind and have a backlog of LS episodes to watch.

It's a shame nothing more has been heard about Letterman coming to UK TV - there were some rumblings a few months ago but nothing came of it.

Off to Florida in just over a week on holiday so might get a chance to catch the LS live on CBS some nights. :)

I have a feeling the Leno Show will tank.
How much room is there on USTV for all these Shows?
As Dave pointed out a while ago, "...just one of the thousand late night talk-shows..."
Hes not THAT far from the truth there!
Not to mention the finite number of guests to be shared around?

Late Night With David Letterman had three production companies:

Carson Productions
Worldwide Pants Incorporated
NBC Productions

Wikipedia says "The first Worldwide Pants production was Late Night with David Letterman, produced in partnership with NBC and Carson Productions."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Worldwide_Pants_Incorporated

Not sure who distributes the Late Show but I would imagine either Viacom or CBS.
