Last Movie You Watched? (Part 3)

Sophie Scholl: The Final Days

Quite a good and informative film about Sophie Scholl, an anti-Nazi belonging to an anti-Nazi resistance movement, The White Rose, who along with her brother and another were sentenced to death for their part in organising resistance against the Nazi dictatorship during WWII. As the title suggests, the film deals with the final days of her and her co-conspirators' lives, beginning with the act that'd bring them to the attention of the authorities, her interrogation and their trial, then their last moments before execution. Certainly a film that deals with a subject that should get more airing: that some Germans actively campaigned against the Nazis while they were in power and paid with their lives.

Guns and Talks - 8/10 Laid back darkly comic Korean tale of four assassins who live together and meet the world in a slightly bewildered but touching way. Amusing, leisurely and stylish.

Hangover - I quite enjoyed this film. Really funny in places and just plain stupid in others. Watched it on Blu-ray. 7/10

Edge of Darkness - The film started well and got me intrested quite quickly and wanted to see what part Ray Winstone would play. Annoyed when the sound on the Blu-ray goes a bit funny half way though the film for about 10mins, which ruined it a bit for me and didnt really like the ending either. 5/10

Leon

Slightly overrated but still a very enjoyable film. Natalie Portman has never been better, it was downhill all the way after this! Gary Oldman steals the show tho as the psychotic cop. Great fun.

7/10

Silver Streak 1976...9/10 brilliant comic murder mystery ...and the scene where Gene Wilder disguises himself as a black guy has to be one of the cinemas greatest comic moments ! :)

Fontier Outlaws [1944]. Director: Sam Newfield

4/10

Another Billy the Kid poverty row B western. They all seem to have the same plot.
