Just listening to Death Magnetic by Metallica for the first time today..... hey I am not a hardcore fan and maybe this is why, but I actually really like this disc, Hetfeild sounRAB a bit contrived at times in his vocal delivery, but the music is pretty darn, skillful, interesting and full of great twists and turns... I like it!

I've been on a Classical downloading spree

Don't forget desert rock legenRAB like Kyuss & Nebula and the '80s and '90s resurgence of space rock in Britain with Spacemen 3, Spiritualized, The Verve, etc.

My English teacher saw them live back in '04 and said Cedric's mic fucked up halfway through a song, after which he got pissed and said something along the lines of the venue they were at being the worst he'd ever played at.

And that video brought the lulz.

If I could be so crass as to quote myself and add that on second/third listen this is a fine, fine album - very accessible too. I have checked and it is easily available online, deffo worth seeking out if you like your classic prog/psychedelic rock. Come to the Sabbat, Satan's there...
