Lark Rise To Candleford Series 3

Steve, I think we should wait to discuss series 1 episode 1 until you've gotten your discs back and are able to watch it again. I'm looking forward to it! :)

I have watched lrtc from the first series and i absolutely love it.

The actors are superb they make their characters so believable.
i find myself not worrying about the plot lines, i just sit back and enjoy.

Would Candleford not become very cut off it the railway went to Inglestone though, therefore the forge wouldnt be of much use either because Candleford would become some forgotten place in the back end of no where, for the same reason would lodgers want to stay there surely they would stay in inglestone with its transport links.
I really dont know im just guessing.

Enjoy class

well I chose 2007 due to the production, effects and storylines being somewhat better than the previous two! however, the first and second series was also good so maybe you could try those too just vfor comparison!

SPOILERS for episode 3.

The Beeb appears to have corrected a mistake in their listings, because the week 4 synopsis (episode 3 - not this Sunday, but the one after) is completely different than what it used to be.

Now I'm wondering when that episode some of us read about originally (the one with Sydney playing with Archie Arless, etc.) is actually going to air. I think it might be one of the later episodes of the season because they mention harvest, and that's supposed to take place in autumn. That shouldn't be for awhile yet.

I finished the dinner scene in my story last night if anyone wants to pop by and read it. It's Timothy telling about a past Mischief Night. :)

I'm going to show solidarity with annijes and say JD please!
I completely love Ruby but if she's found happiness in the story maybe she won't be missing Candleford as much as we miss her. I think it's a pointless hope however now that JM is moving to Emmerdale.

Another important question (for those that care)
Passionate free spirit Fisher Bloon V sensible and dependable (gives you in Gran's brooch) Daniel.

Now that's a toughy!

I know totally what you mean. A couple of years back who should come and sit opposite me on the packed train to work but the gorgeous Richard Armitage! I confess to losing all power of rational thought and speech and spent the whole journey trying not to stare. Ladies those eyes are impossibly blue in real life! I've since seen lots of times as he lives not far from me but so far have managed to curb my inner stalker. You never know who you're going to see around London, so why not at Queens Uni too ..... unless you're in the US, sorry ladies.... but then you get to have crew parties with Angelheart so don't be jealous :)

kyrsten and Lark Riser, how do you watch LRtC in US? I have to travel there regularly and have to set my Sky+ at home to catch it all (then avoid this thread until I get back home!) Do you watch it on YouTube or download it (some secret way) from iplayer!?

Angelheart, lovely to see you on here again and I'm glad you get a benefit from this thread.

Last Sunday's episode was fabulous, one of the best yet, some real laugh out loud moments and some very tender ones.

I remember the vapour trails too :D

The Pratt sisters are the better characters on the show for me. I hope Ruby comes back with a husband and baby. I would love some strong storylines for Pearl also.

I was finally able to watch episode 11 last night and I LOVED it! I thought Laura acted realistically about Fisher coming back--although I just hated how she was so hurtful to Dorcas with her "I don't want your life" comment. Poor Dorcas looked like she was going to cry. (Interesting how Dorcas kept telling Laura how happy and content she was with her current life---would she have been so hurt by Laura's comments if she really was that happy?? Hmmm....)
Pearl just gets more hilarious with each episode. I was laughing out loud at her just sitting there in her carriage that was stuck in the mud with that expression on her face. I was glad when she laughed at Dorcas's Mischief Night prank in her display window. She really has evolved as a character!
I absolutely loved how Dorcas relished being mischievous and her comment that there was "a sprite in us all!" was so delightful! I even loved Fisher who really is a good-hearted fellow. He seems much more mature than Daniel. And how fantastic was Julia in the scene where Fisher is telling Dorcas about the railroad that was coming to the neighboring town? She's smiling but as he's explaining what it could mean to the post office her eyes slowly start to register fear and sadness all the while she's trying to keep the smile on her face. That was a gut-wrenching scene played beautifully. Next week's episode looks like it's going to be so tense!! Will our plucky postmistress save her post office? I have no doubt she will! --Sherry

Hello...I've been lurking on this board for ages and posted way back in series two!!!

I love LRTC, it always gives me a chance to sit down on Sundays and make hubby look after baby for a bit. (and when I say chance, I mean excuse!)

I couldn't help feeling horribly depressed after yesterdays episode. :( For some reason it bugs me that the Browns can't have children...have I got that right? I just seems very mean, especially since Margaret has no family to speak of, apart from a long lost brother...and since I just had my baby I can't help but feel all upset about it....

Oh! And special hello to Angelheart! *waves* Lovely to have you with us!!! :D
Xxx
