Lark Rise To Candleford Series 3

Have watched every episode, read all of this forum and commented on it occasionally. I love Julia 's portrayal of Dorcas and feel that her performance is so strong, the expression in her eyesetc (however school marmy she is sometimes made to appear) that she is the one you watch most of the time. I find Laura irritating and would she really have snogged openly in the street? Boyfriend smarmy and where is he living and what is he doing as he didn't take the job in Canterbury?. Can't bear Twister but love Queenie, plus Robert and Emma's relationship and think he is really attractive. Find the lack of continuity the most irritating thing as well as some of the slightly mystical episodes - no mention of JD, where's Alfs girl friend?, who's running the hotel ?etc etc
But mainly, I want Sir Tim to come back widowed with the baby for Dorcas to mother (or JD to return for that matter). best episodes were Sir Tim and Dorcas pining for each other and then those with Dorcas and JD bickering and flirting:)
 
I hadn't noticed, I don't think I am whispering, if I were, I would send the sound department crazy if they had to put up with that for 7 months!

I sure hope we hear something soon about LRTC! angelheart did confirm we were getting six episodes but I'm still wondering why nothing's been mentioned on the BBC site. Last year they posted something in March.
I just got my series 3 DVRAB from the UK! They get their money's worth out of me--I buy the UK editions AND the US editions (which probably won't be available until later this year) as well as another US set for my mom. :D
 
I still reckon Mr Pontefract is JD gone to yorkshire to sort out Sydney's rotten school and he and Ruby return as Mr & Mrs D, showing Dorcas what she's missing (sorry Julia - I'm getting at the character, not the actress!)...:D Could be really soap-like with a squabble over custody:eek: Seriously, I'm more hopeful he will return now JM's returned to acting !

But that's Series 4....How about the important person being the Inspector she won over in Series 1 - ooh another love interest...

Has anyone heard the rumours that this series is going to be the last one? I'm asking on behalf of my father who adores the show and would hate to see it end.

I think I must be out of step with a lot of LRTC fans on here this series - even though, overall, I love the programme.

Firstly, I can't stand the Alf/Minnie love story plot, they are totally unsuited. Minnie is great fun but she's mad as a March hare and surely shouldn't be wished on poor Alf, who has enough on his plate.

Secondly, I have no interest in the upcoming Laura/Daniel/Fisher story. Daniel is as dull as dishwater but I always thought Fisher-the-Clockmaking-Rover was a right numpty as well, so he isn't much of an alternative in my opinion. Laura has appalling taste in men and even when she 'captures' one of the dimwits she decides she doesn't really want to be with him anyway and stanRAB him up!

Thirdly, I have absolutely no interest in JD returning, I found him shifty and he was no match for Dorcas.

Last of all, I found Twister's confounded and interminable chair story completely ridiculous. He spenRAB his life as a workshy scallywag and then moans when Queenie has to sell his (more expensive and comfortable) chair in order to buy essentials. If I were Queenie I'd have got it back purely for the pleasure of bringing it down on his selfish head.
 
The You tube clips are on but if you don't live in the UK, you can't view them! It tells me that BBC has removed my country from viewing the video or something like that! I don't see why, its only preview! It sucks! The first ones were working fine and now we can't even see the darn previews :(:(:o

Loved the Measles episode, it was really moving on every part. The cast was wonderful.
 
You're very welcome! :) One of the things I really like about the way you speak as Dorcas is when Dorcas gets pushed too far and snaps at someone your suddenly sharp, raised voice makes that much more of an impact. I love it when Dorcas loses her cool! :D ---Sherry
