Lark Rise To Candleford Series 3

Hi mia75 the boy is Sidney, James DowlanRAB son from the last series. He left him with Dorcas because he thought he would be happier with his Post Office "family". James then left Candleford to seek out a new/different life for himself but told Sidney he would be in contact with him.

I hope your Mum enjoys this series.

Hm. He closed those curtains in a masterful fashion!

I'd hoped they'd got it together they day she persuaded him to stop playing the trumpet in bed but maybe not!

Do you go to Queen's or have i got the wrong theatre? I dont mean to be nosy by the way (just realised i am being nosy oops).

I thought i seen it on utv news he was in a play in NI but i wasnt sure it was him.

I enjoyed sundays episode but im not believing the whole their was something missing line, she has to be either convincing herself or sparing Lady A's feelings.

Also was just watching the Bill, is there a chance that Alf (john daglese) might have turned up in it? There is a man in next weeks preview that looks the spitting image of him or maybe i need new glasses.:D

I know.........Emma's Ma already had her when she married Edmund Lane and he adopted her.........there sorted:p:p
Right I'll shut up now til 9pm.................maybe:p:p:D

BTW I'm off to work...........in cas you thought I got up at this hour especially to write this:D:D:D:yawn:

Hey K can you pm me the link you watch it on please?

As for a fourth series, if it's like last year, they may not know til the end of this one if there is to be a fourth...

How do acting contracts work in the UK? I mean, the series are so short the actors must be allowed to find other work in between times, right? Richard Armitage was doing Robin Hood and Spooks in the same year. After filming the next six episodes of LRTC are the actors under contract to wait for word for a fifth series or is there the risk of them leaving for other projects? Or is it like here where an actor signs on for five years and it's at the mercy of the studio that they can leave to do other things?

TT ahhh i've missed you
your up early arent you

it wont end because of that
bill gallagher said that he can take whats in the book and write for years

No, Pearl isn't nearly as nasty as Nellie! I like how we get to see glimpses of Pearl's softer side that she's tried to bury so deeply. At least Pearl had a reason for building those walls and becoming rather nasty--she had a sad childhood. Whereas Nellie was just plain spoiled rotten! LOL!

Hugs always welcome! Although I was referring to TT's post in an ironical way. Don't know why I never learn that irony never goes well with written forums... Sorry :o Of course my heart is glad Lark rise is back!

Was there not some article a wile ago that said minnie sort of falls for alf but he only sees her as a friend. So from that i dont think anything will happen between these two. I have to admit i wouldn't be to much against it, it would be nice to have a nice romantic storyline because im not to interested in Laura's falling in and out of love storylines that happen really quickly. And i guess dorcas isnt doing much this year so, that just leaves minnie on the romance front (maybe ruby also).

Personally I always loved Ruby, but I know what you mean about Daniel GC, I think we're going to have to learn to love him.
Emma looks different tho, is she not wearing her hairpiece or something, she looks thinner in the face.
Didn't you just know Sidney was going to end up calling Dorcas Ma?

Clive Owen and Saskia Reeves were brother and sister who were rather closer than they should have been! She was married to Alan Rickman so you wonder why she bothered ...

It was set in the 80s when AIRAB was first appearing in TV drama and although it wasn't the main plot, KJ's character had AIRAB and was subjected to a lot of discrimination based on fear. Lots of beautiful tranquil river boating scenes with tension you could cut with a knife.

I absolutely loved last nights episode. :) I have enjoyed the whole series so far, but felt last nights episode was outstanding. :) Hoping for many more LRtC episodes in the future ...:D

Ser 1 - Ep 5

Well I must say, I have quite enjoyed watching this episode again. Zillah was in fine fettle in this one - I think she stole the episode!

I loved the 'vexing' and rubbing up the wrong way of Mr
Rushton by Dorcas. Good to see her fighting for her own corner. I would have done everything exactly the same I think and enjoyed needling the inspector the most. (I must admit though, I couldn't look at the actor who played Mr Rushton without seeing Christopher Plummer - a bit of an uncanny resemblance on my part). Daft init?

Typical man of the times though I thought, questioning how she got to run the post office - not something a woman should be doing in those times. Women, in his mind, should be looking after the children and shackled to the kitchen sink. I don't think so!!!

At least Sir Tim didn't come out and say it, He skirted it quite nicely I thought.:) It was nice to see though, how Mr Rushton changed in the end. In my view, Dorcas was still meddling if not in an obvious, direct manner.

This episode is on my favourites list, but let's hear it again for Zillah - yay!!!!

I, too, caught an episode of Ab Fab and had forgotten how much I really like it; so, I went and loaded up my Netflix queue with seasons 1&2. I was really hoping they had it available to stream, but alas, they do not.
(note to self: patience)
