Episode 9 was quite an enjoyable episode. Poor Queenie and Twister were thinking they would get rich with finding that tapestry. Did anyone think the man in the tapestry looked a lot like Mr. Delafield? Interesting, because it followed the Delafield episode yet all the underlying meanings mirrored Dorcas and Timothy's relationship. Poor Timothy thinks Dorcas is upset with him because of his interference with Delafield, but then she reveals it's really all about him becoming a father. Then it is she who decides they should keep their distance. I thought it was so funny how Timothy got all caught up with solving the mystery of the tapestry and gets in competition with Dorcas to find out who's right about where to go for clues. The troubled look on Dorcas's face when she realizes they are spending too much time in each other's company again to solve this mystery was priceless. They couldn't stay away from each other if they tried. It was all so bittersweet. Everyone thinks the tapestry was made by a woman in love with a man she could never have, a spinster who was always waiting. D & T exchange such looks as everyone is talking about it, but Dorcas professess that the woman wasn't waiting at all. I'm not sure I understood that part--why did the woman make the tapestry in the first place and place it on his grave? And Dorcas was lying--she was waiting for her man. She had been waiting for years. And now that Timothy was going to be a father she realizes she's wasted all that time waiting on him knowing the child would be the final nail in the coffin. Loved the part where everyone backs away from the tapestry when they discover the people involved with it in the first place just disappeared. So funny! Great episode-- a lot going on under the surface there.
