Lark Rise To Candleford Series 3

I'm going to be out of pocket starting Friday and on through Monday visiting my aunt who lives about 30 miles past the middle of NOWHERE!! It's actually shaping up to be a fun weekend. I'm a country girl living in the big city so it's going to be nice to get away from it all, feed the cows and the chickens, drive the tractor and ride a horse. Truth be told though, I've never been much of a horse rider. When I was young (very young) we used to ride these huge quarter horses that were so tall I could walk under them and it never bothered me. But that was a loooong time ago and I have lost the fearlessness that only youths have! :) Anyway, if I have any internet/cell coverage, I will try to watch season 1, episode 9 one evening so I can be up on the discussion when I get back Monday afternoon. I love Twister in it and his grand dreams of moving to Candleford from the always increasing amount they're going to get for the tapestry. :D

Okay, I've added the next scene in my story. I wanted to write this one because I was always intrigued by this scene in episode 7, the one where Adelaide wants to adopt the little girl, where Zillah is in a snit and Dorcas tells her not to get hysterical. Zillah replies, "Hysterical? Me? I remember weepin' and wailin' in this kitchen, tears and kisses. I seen it with my own eyes. There's no denyin' it!" And Dorcas, stung, replies, "No, I can't deny it. But that was a very long time ago and you know it."
So this is my interpretation of what happened in that kitchen scene long ago.

thats exactly what i thought when i saw him arrive at downton abbey lol

also i was watching a film called the illusionist a couple of weeks ago and the guy who plays twister had a small part in it
 
That's exactly why most of us here are hoping for maybe just one maybe two more series LR (just one for me personally) so that it doesn't start getting stale and 'soapy'.:)

Poor old Pearl, she's not quite as bad as Nellie Olsen is she:D. Would Nellie have gone anRAB nursed the sick during the measles outbreak:D

I think over the pond tho you do have the edge when it comes to films:cool:
 
I'm so glad to hear you loved Gilmore Girls, too! I so looked forward to that show every week. I'm so sad it's gone now. That's another series I want to just sit back and watch again from beginning to end.
 
I think your "breathy" dialogue is nothing of the sort. (Forgive me if my spelling goes awry....I've my lovely cat walking across my lap and computer at present).

your dialogue is evidence that you are able to fulfill any role perfectly. For instance, it is a credit to you that Dorcas is recognised as Dorcas asnd not an extension of Saffy from Abfab.

So many actors/acresses act but always reveal the same perswonality or are only able to perform in the same way they performed in a previous work. This is simply not the case with you. people endear themselves to Dorcas because you make her so believable, so credible and a person who most people can relate to. the way you speak so suits the character and it would be incomprehensible for me to accept Dorcas in any other way.

I feel a bit more optimistic that something happened in tonights episode! I wonder how many couples there were like T & M, who took ages to work it all out :D

And we heard Dorcas telling us about her one weakness just when we had thought she had forgotten she had one.
Minnie was of course wonderful, her lovely little face always pops up just when we need her, totally the star of every episode in my eyes.
I was puzzled as to what Miss Pratt was playing at with Daniel, maybe it'll become clearer if I watch again, I just wasn't sure whether she was setting her cap at him or protecting Laura's virtue.
That fawnin or A L ing as we call it nowadays was getting on my wick too TT

Thank you! I saw this earlier today, though. Another friend sent it to me. Julia looked so adorable signing autographs! :D

Now we need to find those outtakes!!!!

but i had to read it
i had to see if my favorite fella was coming back

this totally made my day which isnt hard becuase today sucks:(
