Lark Rise To Candleford Series 3

I'm in the Sacramento area--wine country isn't far! I'm 90 miles east of San Francisco and about the same from the Sierra Nevada mountains. Right smack in the middle.

Must admit, I was wondering what Sir Tim was going to say to Dorcas. We'll never know, but it's good to dream of what might have been. This was definitely a turning point.

I was going to re-watch episode 8 tonight, (the rough and ready Mr Delafield!! Loverlyyyyy), but 'm going to leave that as a treat whilst the football's on for Wednesday. My 8 wk old kitten wants to play now of all times. I'm trying to type this one handed.

Bet who's running it won't even be mentioned SLS.
According to the behind the scenes clip on the website, if you walk thru the hotel doors...........you're right in the cowshed:D

I had to laugh at the "4 years, 2 months, or something like that" statement. Surprised she didn't narrow it down to days, hours and minutes. Dorcas did a blinder though didn't she by still insisting she'd go to the concert. How could the lady refuse?? Bit of a crush in the carriage though. The look on Lady Adelaide's face was a hoot!!!

Ah, sounRAB a good plan. I am hoping to join in with the re-watching soon, just been a manic busy week this week. I really enjoyed the Dorcas/Timothy story in the first series, but then again, overall I have really enjoyed series three without the love interest too.

So pleased to hear you are writing more :) I am really enjoying reading your story. I guess its good you have the ending mapped out as you know where you are heading and have direction. I look forward to the next section in the near future! ;)

Thats great news you have a multi-region DVD player. Series 3 is released here on 26th April so hopefully it wont take too long to reach you.

Take care 'n' speak to you soon :)

Oophs - looks like I've caused trouble, sorry Angelheart.
Of course the crew work incredibly hard, you all must do and the British summer weather can't make it easy to keep to any kind of schedule.

You all do an amazing job and I think a significant reason why our British shows do so well in other countries is because they are so very beautifully shot. My only point was that last night the glow added by the DOP was in my very humble opinion a little bit distracting. I was focusing on that and not the dialogue in that particular scene. When Dorcus is on screen I'm very rarely distracted.
But it really was only a single critical point Angelheart.

Otherwise everything about the show is just gorgeous! Angelheart, am I going to be forgiven? :):o

I don't dislike Dorcas, but I was very irritated by the end of series 2. It just didn't make sense, and I did find her treatment of JD over Sydney absolutely appaling. She definitely has a self righteous streak and the writers haven't been giving her any opportunity to show the softer side of her nature.

It shows that there are different writers and they are not always always properly briefed or they are not doing their homework.

I am still hoping that Sydney's Dad will get a look in.

I'm meant to be cooking dinner but.. :D ... this way Alfie has gone up in the world so can marry Laura, his childhood sweetheart, for your Ma!! ;):D
