Lark Rise To Candleford Series 3

Hi newbie here although a long time lurker on the forum.I just love LRTC.I think Julia is one of our countrys treasures, I have watched her in many diverse roles over the years and she is one actor who rarely drops her high standarRAB in whatever role she is playing, and her scenes with Minnie are an absolute delight ranging from tenderness to high comedy. They are a great double act!

Well if you were winging it I certainly never noticed! I guess people were critical because it was a change of era for the show after Caroline left. People hate change! Still, they could spend their time worrying about the really important things in life! I suspect you were pleased that they didn't ask you back! I thought you were perfectly fine in the show!

thanks for the reply though, that was very kind of you to respond. Much appreciated. Steve.

hey
i stick up for dorcas

i would love to have someone like her in my life to help me out when things go the wrong way
i think candleford is lucky to have such a faithful friend
(even if she is always whispering :p)

I think measles was a misdiagnoses last night. It's clearly jaundice they're suffering from, and the signs have been there for some weeks. Oh, and the flora is suffering from chlorosis. There's not a patch of green grass or tree to be seen.

Why has the BBC gone overboard this series with their yellow tinting? It doesn't induce feelings of hazy summer days, just annoyance that they think viewers are so dumb.

Thanks, Schnuki!
Actually, I have to watch the series 2 ep where Minnie ruins Dorcas's mother's wedding dress tonight to refresh my memory for my next scene. I should have it posted by tomorrow.
But yeah, time to watch series 2 again.

I don't think so. Angelheart, are you around this evening?

When Julia has been interviewed her hair is shorter than in the series, so even if it grows quickly I don't think it would be as long as that.

My, we're a bit short of things to talk about this evening!

Not sure where you live..but I am currently snowed in, hence me not being able to travel and missing gmtv and loose women. Am working on the Dibber debate..I am utterly confused myself!

Speaking of the Christmas episode, I remember being so excited to see it because I had read a synopsis of the show which said that Dorcas gets a Christmas letter from Timothy. I waited and waited for that scene but it never happened. I guess it got cut?[/QUOTE]

I read that too and was disappointed that it never materialised. Timothy was barely hinted at throughout the second series.

I can hardly watch Thomas without thinking about Dr Alan Statham, the character Mark Heap played in Green Wing. :D

I quite liked the dog storyline, at least the conclusion of it should I say! I think were it known this was a series ending episode, they may have written it with them having to return the dog only to discover that Margaret was expecting! :D

The dog was so cute.
Good thougt.
That would be good. Margret having a baby!!

Oh! I had assumed Dorcas was related to Emma through Dorcas' mother. But it's all very confusing, I agree!

K

Edit: Just seen TT's post. Now I understand the problem. Perhaps there's an explanation waiting to happen (something about Emma's parents not being married and Emma taking her mother's maiden name, perhaps?)

She's american...

Screw the play! Know anyone who'd want to play Mrs Lovett in Sweeney Todd for little money in South of Ireland this Summer :).......this question is open to anyone not just angelheart

Looks that way, TT- or maybe she didn't like his hair - more1970s than 1890s.

Talking of plot inconsistencies, if JD ever re-appears, theyll probably use a different actor (like son, like father...)

Still looking forward to Ep 2 tho. Enjoying all these history finRAB - 'irregularities' with the telegraph system AND a murder???
