i looking to get my first bike and i have a few questions about this kind of bike. is belt driven a bad thing to go with? how often will it break down compared to chain driven? is there any way to turn it into a chain driven bike, i do a lot of mechanical work with my job so i was wondering if that was possible or not. any other advise
ok i'm gonna leave it as is. how is it compared to other bike as far as dependability and length of life before major repair?

They typically last about 20,000 miles in my experience.

They are quiet, smooth, and clean compared to a chain.

The only real downside is that there is no master link on a belt. Your swingarm is coming off before the belt goes on.

I wouldn't bother converting a KZ440 to chain. 0 benefits really.
