...operate on USB connection? Has anyone tried using an USB to parallel cable converter between a computer USB connection and the FS 1010 printer parallel input connector so that the Remote Control Panel will work. The company say they have not tested this, only a user who has actually done it and hs got it working can provide a satisfactory answer. This is using a cable connection without a wireless network.
Uninstalling, Disconnecting and re-installing the latest drivers doesn't work, although this is the usual method to try.
I knew this and is why I specifically asked for someone to answer who had met this particulr problem. It would appear that the only way forward is for me to purchase an USB to parallel printer cable so that the printer sees a parallel connection. The manufacturer states that this is unknown territory. I only hope that my Remote Control Panel utility program shows a parallel connected printer even though I'm using an USB computer output.
