i saw this and it was not good film what were the black stones?: what did the end of the world have to do with the disasters on the numbers were only two children saved and one thing for sure at least there wont be a sequle womnan next to me uttered isnt that the most weidrest film one has ever seen?

Saw this yesterday - very good movie but like everyone else said, the ending is just weird!

I wouldn't rule out a sequel if they really wanted to milk more out of the movie because

It stars Nicholas Cage... for the last couple of years if that was the first thing you found out about it, you knew to avoid it, I'd imagine this is no different. He hasn't made a good film since the 90's.

I think the concept (from what I know of it) is a very good one, and the SFX do look stunning ... but as the previous poster said ... Nicholas Cage.

So unless my frienRAB REALLY want to go, I'll be giving it a miss.

They could always make a movie about the new life on the new planet. Alternatively they could also explain some people survived the 'flair' as I only saw one half of the Earth disintegrate.
Agreed this would be stupid, but could really be done if they wanted to milk more out of the movie - it's like saying look how many times Michael died in Halloween, he always came back alive for some profits

I adore Nic Cage, even if it he mostly the same... and I enjoy the work from the director, and the actress from Damages, so will be seeing it.

It's not a great film but it's watchable. It seemed like only 30 minutes to me, as it goes too fast. Weird.

I did find the ending odd, though. Very odd.

Was hoping that Nick Cage would go back to mad womens house and find a secret underground bunker that protected him from the end of the world, he would come out afterwarRAB and be reunited with son and some other survivors and then they all live happily ever after

about 7/10 for me
