I have Polk db subs, Kicker zx750.1, and pioneer dehp 2009 head unit. And im having problems connecting them. when everything is wired the amp will light up red briefly and shut off. and it feels like no power is going to the amp. I looked online and red light is safety feature which will power the amp down if connection is wrong or like three other reasons. i dnt kno what im doing wrong can someone please help me out. i have a capacitor but its not connected with it... any suggestions.
subs are new, wires are new, amp is used. not sure if my ground is good enough. i dnt know where a good ground is...

Disconnect the subs, and try powering up the amp again. If it still goes into protect, check your ground connection. If that's good, there may be an internal defect in the amplifier. On the other hand, if the amp doesn't go into protect with the subs disconnected, then the problem may be with the subs. They may be wired for too low an impedance; or you may have a blown sub or a shorted speaker wire.
