what's wrong with this amp? i had 2 15" kicker L5's on the zx 1000..i got rid of the 15"s and put a 12"mtx 9500 in the truck and the amp never got hot on the L5's but with the Mtx sub it's getting pretty damn hot....not in protect mode but to the touch it's hot!!! i have a red top optima, the alternator i believe is good! i have 4 guage wire ran for power and grounds! the only thing i can think of is the little 100 amp fuse under the hood from the battery?? i haven't put in the 250 amp fuse in yet!! i don't know could it be the amp is not powerful enough to push it??? both the gains and bass boost is only half way up...and i have the sub wired to 2 ohms!! also the lights never dimmed and now they do!
