kicker sub and amp question. zx1500 with solo x 12 inch?

i recently bought a kicker zx1500 watt amp and a l7 12 inch 2009 model with 0 guage wres. due to my little knoledge, i blew the sub within 2 weeks becuase i diddn't let it break in. i kept playing it loud untill it got blown and i know i hook up the wires right. well anyways the l7 is dead. now i am getting a 12 solox rated at 2500 rms and 5000 peak. would the zx1500 amp and the solo x be a good combination?
 
Break in had nothing to do with it.
If your L7 was a dual 4 and wired for 2 ohms that amp would double the rated power of the sub. And being inexperienced, if you cranked the gain and bass boost that amp would certainly damage that sub, sooner if not later.

For the SoloX - the s12x4 would work much better than the s12x2. The dvc 4 could be wired for 2 ohms and get 1500w rms, the dual 2 would only get 750.
