So I don't know much about hooking up a system... but I had a Kicker L7 15" Sub and 1500 watt Hifonics amp. until I had to sell it. So for the last 8 months I still have the wires running through my jeep. I'm about to buy a Kicker L7 15'' Sub and a Sony 1000 watt amp. Do you think the wires I have already will work with this speaker since its the same speaker but diff amp? I had an older car and the battery always went dead wit the speaker, and I'm just wondering what's needed for what I'm getting or if I'll be fine with the wires I have already, because a few months after I sold the speaker my battery in the new jeep went dead. I know the car audio place I took it too, apparently did something wrong but not sure what. Is there a bigger cord needed? I'm hoping it won't be too costly to help keep the speaker from draining my battery. Help please?
