kicker box and L5 question?

i just order a pair of kicker l5 12's and with the kicker box is it a good box it is ported or vented witch ever you would like to call it but i was just wanting to know cause i have heard more good things than bad right now but i am really looking for the right advice i just got back into car audio and i think that i know what i am doing but not really ha but i am learning a lot from the installers wear i live at they know what they r talking about well....seems to me that they know but will some one help me i want to konw if the KICKER box is a good box because that is what the subs are coming in they are a dvc 4 ohm amp 4 ohm 350.2 the birth certific said it put out 550rms how does it do that? when i bought it it came with the sheet of papper in it that said that...i still know that that is underpowering them... untill i get the zx 1200 mono
