Kenwood KDC-W3041A CD/MP3 Player?

I have bought this CD player for my car (Ford Fiester R reg) and the guy in halfords gave me the essential leads, arial adaptor, and facial thingy for it to work/fit. I have fit it, and it is working, however there is no sound "(.

Please help as this cost me a fortune! x
 
It 'sounds' to me like the speaker cables are not connected to the correct channels on the Kenwood. You will have to start again with the speaker cables.
