Kenwood car receiver iPod playback problem.?

I just installed a Kenwood DDX512 deck in my Mitsubishi Eclipse. All of the audio works (radio, DVD, etc) except when I hook up my iPod Touch via the iPod audio/video cable. The deck syncs perfectly with my iPod (all my music shows up on the screen of the deck) but when I go to play a song, there is no audio what-so-ever.I know people are using an iPod Touch with this model deck, so that isn't the issue. Any ideas what would be the problem?
