There is a scene in a late 1980s edition of Last of the Summer Wine where Edie picks up the phone and says "The Pegden Residence. The lady of the house speaking."
Rachel Bell was aso in Darling Buds of May and I'm almost certain Dear John. I didn't think she would be right at all but she was actually superb. I think it's true to say that she nailed it.
Debbie Arnold came over as a bit young for the part but i don't think many men would complain.
The actress who played Daisy (for some reason her name is not given anywhere) had her off to a T; it could have been Judy Cornwall at times. Kim Hartman was a good Liz but could have also played Rose. The only negative for me was that there was too much Emmet.
