I love it when Richard and Hyacinth pull up at Daisy's, and Hyacinth would make a comment almost every time she got out of the car
A few from the top of my head:
"And they tell us the third world's over seas"
"It's the dustbin men I feel sorry for. How are they supposed to distinguish between what they're supposed to take and what's to stay"
"How can a place look like this 50 years after the blitz"
And once Richard asked if she wanted him to lock the car and she said "I should think so dear. We're practically in Beirut"
Today's episode on Comedy Central was bloody funny.
Hyacinth had a burglar alarm fitted. She was so bloody funny. She even told a passer by outside her house to walk gently as her alarm is extremely sensitive. The passer by was to tell all his friends.
She makes everybody leave their shoes on the doorstep (the Axminster you know) Funny thing is they all run out of the house so fast to get away from our hero that they leave their shoes behind. She's that frightening!!
For those eagle-eyed, used to be a very grotty scrapyard at the back of Michell Close. Its all been cleared and landscaped now. My own postcode is CV3 2PP - not too far away.
The other houses were filmed at 117 & 119 Heather Road, Binley Woods, Coventry according to this website:
Only because Hyacinth (the joke being that Hyacinth can't see it) makes Elizabeth so nervous that she doesn't want to risk dropping her royal doulton, although she does frequently when not using a beaker. Poor Elizabeth. The coffee scenes are my favourite.
