I bought a used ZXR250C and it ran fine till its battery went flat. I changed the battery then it was fine. I had no experience with bikes but out of curiosity i decided to test the alternator. So I started the bike, then i removed the negative connector from the battery. I rev the bike and the bike sputters and wont rev past 5k revs. Then the bike stalls. Could the alternator be faulty? And also are alternators universal or do they have specific type for each model? Please help!
