kawasaki zr7 need help starting!?

The bike sat in my garage over the winter with no fuel additive. I tried to start it this summer but was unsuccesful. I first drained the gas through the carbs and bought new gas. That didn't work. I assumed I killed the battery by trying it so many times before changing the gas. charged it, it turns over but will not start. The spark plugs are all clean and making good contact. I do not know what is wrong. I also don't know if the fuel switch should be in unmarked, on or pr mode when trying to run it. Any insight would be appreciated
 
Clean the carburetors - especially the pilot jets.
The pilot jet's opening is as thin as a pin head and gets clogged easily
from untreated gas.
