Kawasaki bayou burning oil, why?

I have put a new cylinder, new valve seals, new rings and a new head gasket and it is still smoking white/bluish smoke.

On this particular model, the oil flows to the head of the motor through a channel drilled down through the cylinder. i find a lot of oil around the place where the head and cylinder come together and i bought a new, thicker gasket and it seems to be smoking less, maybe nearly half as much smoke as before.

I honed the cylinder about 5 months prior to installing it and the new rings into the atv, could that have an effect on the oil leaking through? If it could then how come it smoked the same amount with the old cylinder?

Possible oil burning scenarios;

1. wrong oil

2. rings not properly sized to the cylinders or installed incorrectly...

3. pistons damaged or not sized to the cylinders properly...

4. valve guides excessively worn...

5. valve seals wrong or damaged...

6. excessive cylinder blowby...

7. wrong cylinder head gasket...

8. oil not draining to sump propely...

Does this help any?
