well i'm only twelve so i dont know a great deal about motor bikes. i have a kawasaki 110 and it dosent have a cluch cause it is only small and it only has three gears. i was wondering if there was a way that i could change gears without slowing down. if i dont the bike lerches alot and almost tips my off plus its proberly not good for the bike.
changing up gears if fine its just when i want to slow down or go down a gear. thats when it lerches.
please help!!!!
ps in case u didnt notice im a girl!!!!

It sounds like you are using a downshift to slow down rather than using your brakes. If you shift down when the bike is going too fast it will throw your body forward as the engine brakes itself. Just learn at what speed you can downshift without this happening. Use your brakes to slow down. If you are coming to a complete stop just wait until you are almost ready to stop and then shift down twice into 1 or even 3 times down to neutral (I think the KLX is 3 up). If you are slowing down for like a turn, still slow down with your brakes and when you start to give it gas again you can always down shift then if the engine bogs and feels like it is in too high of a gear. Just keep practicing and it will become second nature before long.
