JVC CD-Player turns on then back off. Help!?

I am trying to install a jvc cd player in my car. I connected all the wires to the right color: Red to red, blue to blue, green to green ETC... I grounded the black wire. When i turn the cd player power on it comes on for about 5 seconds then turns back off. Any suggestions to what might have happened?
