Just to share...

I'd like to give a little story about how not to let dealers push u around and tell you you're not entitled to what is yours. I purchased my bike from a pretty big dealership here, and did my best (i know i coulda tried harder, but was really anxious to have a Duc to my name) to negotiate the best deal. Afterward, I remembered that the fast track promotion was going on, and brought it up to the dealer. They at first scoffed at me and told me that w/ the price I picking the bike up for, there is no way that they can include the fast track promotion (highly doubt it). Me being gullible, I believed them and continued to sign the papers. When I got home, I felt really uneasy. I pulled up the Fast Track website and read it line by line and the words stuck out as if it was highlighted:

"...when you purchase ANY new 2009 or 2010 Ducati Superbike..."

I was like.. no where does the promo detail mention about "if you got a great deal.. this promo does not apply to you" So I decided to shoot DNA an email and they got a hold of my dealer and made sure I received the package. To some, that may have been a douche move, but I'm a firm believer that if it is rightfully mine, nobody can keep it from me.

I hope this helped somebody out there who got fed the same bovine feces that was served to me to not buy into it, and if the dealer insists, just go ahead and go to the top and ask nicely. If you are afraid of ruining the dealer/customer relationship, just remember, there is other dealers that can change your oil, and u deserve what u deserve. I had a few beers, so I tend to blabber... good night and safe riding

thats not a douche move. the dealer are the dbags for tying to shank you. hope you get your free stuff. man if ive known, i would wait a year to get my duc... haha maybe not.

yeah it was a slick move, they will get you back when they work on your bike....... like not change the oil when they say they did, or throw a little crap in the oil..... they will get revenge

Thanks everybody. I believe I did as well, can't take the watch off my wrist because it looks so damn awesome.

Thanks for the heads up as to what dealerships might do. I highly doubt that they would do such a thing since they are a reputable shop and do have some upstanding people there. But I suppose I'll have to do some inspections when I get the bike back from the 600mi service since u got me a lil paranoid now lol. If they do infact decide to vandalize my bike just because they busted a low move during negotiations, this dealership will get so much shit from me, they'd rather give me a 1198r Corse and call it a day. I doubt it though, they do have a reputation to upkeep and I respect that which is why I'm not disclosing the name of the dealership.

I seriously wouldn't worry about it, that's just paranoid ramblings.

Do you honestly believe that when you took your bike in for service that the sales people would take the time to tell the mechanic to purposely vandalize your motorcycle just because you called them on something that was rightfully yours in the first place??!

C'mon, these sales people hear it all the time. What's more likely is they got a call from DNA and said "oops! We just forgot to tell him" or "he forgot" or something like that and almost certainly don't give a shit.

They're sales people for crying out loud. You are now in the hands of service which is another whole dept.

I mean look at the guys sig, paranoia seems to be a common theme with him.

They prolly wanted to keep the prize at the bottom of the cereal box for themselves...

I wouldnt have signed on the dotted line if they told me that they were going to recind any offers that were rightfully yours in the first place...They agreed to the sale price, so all the trimmings is rightfully yours.

I bought mine at a fantastic price, the dealer was going out of business, and the current promo was "free 2 yrs worth of regular maint.", had I not gotten the free services because they wanted to liquidate their inventory, i'd would have gone cross state lines and bought an Aprillia...

You did the right thing...regardless how much of a great deal you got, you still paid a price they agreed on...
