Having read the books when they first came out and just watched the film I thought I was losing my memory but it seems not!

I was confused by characters in it that i didn't remember in the book, how quickly Lyra learnt to 'read' the aletheometer, the film seemed to flit everywhere, timelines didn't seem to be right.

There were good things - the stunning cgi and scenery, some of the acting (Dakota Blue RicharRAB especially) and the daemons were how I'd imagined them.

I was so annoyed at the ending. So wrong.

So I'm not the only one to spot this, though I put it down to the fact that I had only read the books once and that was a long while ago. I could have sworn the first meeting of the witches, was after they had reached Bolvangar not before.
