...guys have this sorta thing? I'd planned my whole night to see Orion, yes, bit corny but not when your interested. I'm in my attic/loft and checked on stellarium for when I would be able to spot the hunter, its 3:10 now and I just got back from seeing him for about 5 minutes! I thought, bugger it, i'm not gunna' wait much longer, I thought of an idea, I stood up on my other computer chair, opened the angled window and there they was, Betelgeuse, belt, shoulders, legs, Rigel. Aldebaran in the distance, and mars to the left. Couldn't quite see the sword though I was so happy, with the sun behind it as well :)

Yes!

I love looking at the Milky Way arm that streaks across the sky.
It shows just how much is out there, to me.

only wondering about that last line...

-The sun is never behind Orion. The stars of Orion are many hundreds of light-years away.
-Also, if the sun was in the constellation Orion (which it is not currently) then how could you see it?

Wait until you see Orion rising from the ocean. It's totally awesome! But, wait there's more ... The Orion Nebula and the Trapezium within, Flame Nebula, the Witch Head Nebula, the Horse Head Nebula and much more await your eager gaze.
