Just got my E65 (pic inside)

BTW im really impressed with the RAM memory on the phone, i have never got an memory error message, even if i have opera and the "web" browser on the same time and some other applications running in the background and i can still surf on www sites =)

hey ...do you get too keep those both???...or they just demo/loaners for you too test or something??

damn i am jealous!! ....hahahaaa

ya i love the back background and the white text for the largetime app.....thats how mines set up too also

thats an odd compaireson...since the 6280 is S40v3 and the E65 is S60 9.1

maybe form factor is all they have in common

text will always be quicker on the S40 UI....the E65 is quicker than most S60 handsets out there when retrieving too read and reply and returning back too main screen

and the D-Pad on the E65 is fully customizable...you can choose what you want too open for left, right,up,down selections .....you just go Menu/Tools/Settings/Phone/Standby Mode and then set each direct too what ever app

also if your a theme creator.....the S60 9.1 has alot more features and options too edit/customize over any S40v3....i am sure you have seen some of my S40v3 themes around....S60 is a world of its own....and you can set alot of custom tones and alerts and so on for defualt in a theme

OK, I read the whole thread. The E65 seems fantastic. It seems kind of like a slide E50 with better specs, IMO. I didn't expect the camera to be that great. Although, Nokia should have announced this as 1.3MP. -_-" That's really 1.3MP quality.

I wasn't interested in the leaks at first, but now it sure looks like a sexy phone. The only E besides the E50 I'd consider buying.

I know its odd , but I had seen it some mention they were going from a 6280 to E65 so thought I would throw in my experience so far.

Very cool, I had to turn standby off! This was great help!! Now I can appreciate how fast the UI is. Where are you grabbing your themes? I haven't had a chance to power use this thing and see where it really shines compared to S40v3.

eewww...by the looks of those sample pics I would say Nokia pretty much made this a non-camera version. Those pics are worse than My 8801's vga lens.

Wirelessly posted (The Eliteness: NokiaE65-1/3.0 (1.0633.18.01) SymbianOS/9.1 Series60/3.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

word. i'm also running bbc on mine and still get good battery life

Say, Phat!

Nice phone how is using the joypad? I've never used one with such a large center button. Is the center button accidentally pressed a lot at first days/weeks usuage and needs adjusting too or is it directly pressed upon its center?

Thanks.

Wow. Thanks for that link. I remember the blogger posted his guess about what the buttons will do and he was practically going "nahhhhhh.... such a waste of space". Now he praises Nokia for this. LOL.

It makes a lot of sense though. Mute call, Conference, Own key. Although, I think the address book is a waste of space... How hard is it to press the Menu key and click the contacts app icon which is the first icon by default? But yeah, I'd agree that we all need the Addressbook while multi-tasking sometimes. Push Mail would be more useful though...
