Just dropped the HD extra package

Yeah, I would make cuts in other areas first before the HD package.. right now I'm down to Basics, 3 themes, HD pack, and premium movies. Any more price increases and the movie package gets cut.
 
the base price of the hd extra package is 83 plus 6 bux for 2 stand receivers plus 20 to rent the hd pvr which i now dont need i may see if i can swap it for a normal pvr
 
Phage you are not getting the best value for your money...

You have:
Basics 31$
3 themes 24$
HD 10$
Movies 19$
Meanning you are aying 84$/month

Instead you could have
Basics 31$
6 themes 25$ (Themes are 8$ or 5X20$,the 5$ per theme)
HD 10$
Movies 16$ (Movies are 19$, but when you pick 6 themes they become 16$)
Meanning you will save 2$/month, but get an extra 3 themes

I am price protected at $5.00 per theme and there are no other themes that I need (or want for that matter).
 
I am 100% sure about A&E, but for Discovery I can not say for sure since the channel came after EV fired me...

If you call they will remove the theme on the first day of the next billing cycle, not ight away
 
As long as your themes are sports, variety, as they include some HD channels. As more channels go HD to get them you might have to increase your amount of themes.
 
also im on a 3 month 62 dollar credit thingy so after thats up 62 bucks will be added or was i reading it wrong ?
 
Just added the HD package and that got me A&E and Discovery. I don't have News and Learning 2 nor Variety 1.
 
You don't need to suscribe to the SD verion to get the HD channels that are in Variety 1...you only need to suscribe to the HD pack
 
I got my Show magazine today (English) shows the HD packs as separate for $5 a piece or can be part of the bundles (5 for $20).

Once all the channels I want are in the HD package(s), I will drop the themes entirely or replace them with their HD countrerparts.
 
After you get your credits your bill will be $112 month plus whatever movies or events you order.
If I may suggest you might want to drop the extra (Premium movies) and keep the HD. Your bill would be about $90 month and you could keep your HD equipment rental credits.
 
Hi guys, I can't remember where I saw this (I think it was on Bell's site, but I can't find it anymore today!), but the HD Pack ($10) is going to be removed (grandfathered for those who have it) and replaced with 5 HD Theme packs. Each theme pack is going to be $5, and you would pay $10 if you get four theme packs. Also, APTN HD is supposed to be coming soon.
 
They don't mention if you could mix SD themes and HD themes (for instance get 11 themes (mixed SD and HD) for $40??)

Sorry, I just read Diento's post above : you said the HD themes can be part of the bundles (5 themes for $20 and 11 themes for $40) ?? In that case, it would come cheaper for me, as I will pick HD themes instead of SD themes for my bundle and I won't have to get the $10 HD pack on top of it.
 
For my part i dropped the HD package too and the rep on the phone told me i cannot return to the HD package at 10$ because Bell will (again) change her package and remove the HD Package...

All HD Channels will be put with his SD version in the different package.
 
I will be cancelling the HD package too myself...

I don't watch that much English channels, and the one I watch are not HD (CW11). The French HD channels are free as long as you suscribe to the equivalent SD theme

I think that since I got the HD package I watched about -4 shows maximum on channels included in the package

Not worth the 10$/month in my case
