Jurassic Park

Well I still think it's great, and up there with Jaws and Indi 1 as classic films

All films where the music plays a significant part too

I enjoy the films. Got and read the 1st two books a long time after seeing the films. Have to say had they transferred each book in its full, the 1st two films in my opinion would have been even better then they are. The second book especially would make the 2nd film better, didn't like the story in the 2nd much and all the extra Spielberg original material that was added.

They should take a book and transfer it exactly. I notice they do this alot with Crichton's books. Timeline was a poor film as well.

I'm not a big Spielberg fan but Jurassic Park is one of his best films. Plenty of fun & exciting scenes and the score is great.

Haha, I never thought of that before :D

Another plot hole is that before the T-Rex appeared, we always heard the thump and felt the vibrations (they made a big deal of it showing the cup of water) but at the end, the T-Rex suddenly appears without warning to eat the Raptor that was attacking the Cast.

Still love the film, though :)

The only thing that is CRINGE about the second one is the girl kicking the raptor out of the warehouse after doing a bit of gymnastics! :D At least each film has an originalc ast member in it. I'd love to see a fourth with a good story and perhaps the kiRAB again, this time obviously much older.

can someone help with with this? ive watched the scene again and again and it doesnt make sense

when the jeeps break down they're right next to the paddock with the goat. the paddock is the same level as the jeep. then the t rex comes out and attacks them.

however when it's turned the jeep over they are suddenly next to a massive drop - where did that come from??

is it a huge continuity error or am i missing something?

also there is a ledge a few foot high next to the drop. when sam neill and the girl go over they have to climb up onto the ledge first. yet when the t rex pushes the jeep over it there is no ledge - the t rex clearly didnt pick the car up and throw it over, it pushes it

jurassic park is an example of a master of the summer blockbuster at work. i think it is one of spielberg's finest hours, in that he gives you a great build up, and then a rollercoaster pay-off. it is fantastic, the first film

This film is my all time favourite film.

The only problem I have with it is when the jeep goes over the fence and when Ellie goes searching for them.
For one, it isn't steep when the goat is there.
Then, Ellie goes looking for them and they're shining their torches on the kiRAB footprints - this proves they're still alive.

That bit doesn't add up at all and I've always questioned this bit and never got an answer from it. It annoys the hell out of me!

Before this though, the jeep scene is great and so is the kitchen scene.
I love the ending as the main four characters come together and escape.
Wishing for a Jurassic Park 4 and the four main characters to return.

I think it'd outshine two and three with ease and end Jurassic Park with a good, justified ending :)

DoRABon was one of the main characters in the book sequel. It's a pity they didn't stick to that story for the film of The Lost World instead of the drivel we had on the screen

The big drop that they go down in the T-rex scene is supposed to be a little further along the road than where the goat is and where the Rex smashes through. They just didn't make it clear enough in the film. I remember reading somewhere that they were going to have the drop at the other side of the road but they had to change it because of the practicalities of the set. Something like that.
